Because of it's incredible nature the island Terschelling is mentioned on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
The apartment is located in the center of the "arrival village" of Terschelling, less than a 3-minute walk from the boat!
Within walking distance you can find dunes and the beautiful "Wadden" beach, "het Groene Strand". Here you have amazing views all day long, but especially during sunset. After a 3-5km walk you can find yourself at the beginning of the North Sea beach at the trench between Terschelling and Vlieland.
In the immediate vicinity of the apartment there are cafes, terraces, restaurants, nice clothing stores and an (organic) supermarket.
The apartment is spacious and bright, has a well-equipped kitchen and has a bathtub and washing machine. There is a seating area and stairs to the second floor with a spacious bedroom. The apartment is situated on the first and second floor of the stately monumental Pastoryhuys (The Old Rectory).
Changeover days are Friday and / or Monday.
From the apartment you have a nice view on the most popular, but quiet, shopping street of West-Terschelling. Here you will find everything you may need. There are good restaurants in walking distance, several sunny terraces and cozy pubs.
On the first floor, you first pass our library where you are free to borrow a book or a DVD. When you enter the apartment itself, you will find a tastefully furnished living room. Here, after a refreshing long walk, you can sit and relax or watch TV (with DVD player). There is a detailed map of the island available for you.
In the open kitchen there is a dining table. The kitchen has 4 gas burners, a microwave oven and a fridge. You can enjoy filtered coffee as well as Nespresso. For breakfast, you can use the kettle and the toaster. In the bathroom you will find a bath and a shower and a sink. A washing machine is available.
From the living room, a spacious staircase leads to the upper floor. Here you will find a nice bedroom. There are blackout blinds for the Velux skylights. If you need one, you can rent a bathrobe. You are staying so close to the famous lighthouse The Brandaris, that its beams of light can be seen stroking the island.
You enter the house through the main entrance. We (Alex and Thea) live on the ground floor. Our guests have access to the first floor and the hall on the first floor via the staircase.
We always welcome our guests on a Friday or a Monday. This enables us to clean the apartment and prepare it for the arrival of our next guests.
